While his current and potential abilities are still up for debate, the lack of depth behind Nicolas Jackson in the striker position makes retaining him a practical choice for now. Looking ahead, if Chelsea signs another forward next summer and a Premier League or top-tier Championship club offers Guiu consistent game time, a loan move could become a more logical option for his development. For now, though, keeping the trio close aligns well with Maresca’s system and the team’s immediate needs.
