Striker’s Agent Shuts Down Arsenal Rumors: ‘I Have Never Talked with Arsenal’

Arsenal are actively searching for a new striker to bolster their attack and support Mikel Arteta in another bid for the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners have faced challenges in front of goal, with Kai Havertz struggling to find form and Gabriel Jesus sidelined for the remainder of the campaign due to a long-term injury.

Over the past year, Arsenal has been linked with several high-profile forwards, including Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, and Dusan Vlahovic.

However, recent updates suggest that one of these targets, Benjamin Sesko, is unlikely to make the move to North London in the January transfer window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, writing for GiveMeSport, shared the latest developments, citing comments from Elvis Basanovic, Sesko’s agent. Basanovic firmly denied any talks with Arsenal about a potential loan deal for the RB Leipzig forward. In an interview, he clarified that the 20-year-old striker is focused on his current club and has no plans for a January move.

“I don’t know where this story has come from, but I have never talked with Arsenal about a loan move for Sesko,” Basanovic stated. “Sesko is not a player for loans, and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club. If you ask me if Sesko will move in January, I can only say Sesko is an RB Leipzig player and fully focused on that.”

When pressed further about interest from Arsenal or Chelsea, Basanovic redirected the question to RB Leipzig, emphasizing that the German club holds the final say on Sesko’s future.

Reports of a potential Arsenal move for Sesko have been dismissed, and it’s now clear the Gunners will not be able to secure his services in January. RB Leipzig has reportedly ruled out selling the talented striker mid-season, especially as they navigate a difficult campaign riddled with injuries.

While Arsenal would undoubtedly benefit from a player of Sesko’s caliber, they may need to wait until the summer transfer window to revisit the possibility of signing him. The club is left with limited time to explore other options in the market, as their pursuit of an immediate solution to their attacking woes continues.

Another name that has surfaced in Arsenal’s search is Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. Whether the Gunners can finalize a deal for a new striker before the transfer window closes remains to be seen, but reinforcements are urgently needed to keep their title ambitions alive.
